Latino Health Ministry at CMC-NorthEast

An exciting development in our program has been the implementation of the Congregational Health Promotion (CHP) program in the Latino population.   Jorge Patino, Latino Health Ministries Coordinator, has trained over 35 individuals in congregational health promotion over the past year – now focusing development and educational efforts in over six key congregations as well as the Hispanic Learning Center.    He provides initial training and then ongoing educational sessions on key healthcare issues that impact the population –advocating for decreased disparities in minority healthcare while focused on wholistic quality of life.
